Azure DevOps
In this article, you'll learn how to connect Azure DevOps to your Enjo workspace so your AI Agent can read, create, and update work items during resolution.
Before you start
You need Owner or Admin role in Enjo.
You need an Azure DevOps account with permissions to authorize third-party integrations.
It is recommended to connect through a dedicated service account with Stakeholder access at the organization level to keep the integration isolated from individual user accounts.
What Enjo accesses
The Azure DevOps integration uses OAuth 2.0 authentication. The following permissions are requested during authorization:
Permission | What it covers |
|---|---|
Work items | Read, create, update, and delete work items. Execute WIQL queries. Read and create comments. Access history, relations, and attachments. |
Offline access | Refresh token support for long-term access without requiring re-authentication. |
How Azure DevOps is used in Enjo
Once connected, your AI Agent can interact with Azure DevOps work items in real time during resolution — looking up existing items, creating new ones, and updating fields based on conversation context.
💡 To use Azure DevOps as a System Action in your AI Agent, configure it under AI Actions after completing the connection. See AI Actions.
Connect Azure DevOps
Go to Settings > Apps.
Click Connect Apps.
Select Azure Work Items from the list.
Click Add New.
Enter a Connection Name — for example, Azure DevOps Production.
Set the Visibility — Workspace to make it available to all AI Agents, or select specific agents.
Click Connect.
You will be redirected to the Azure DevOps authorization screen.
Review the requested permissions and click Approve to grant access.
Your Azure DevOps connection appears under Settings > Apps once authorization is complete.
💡 If you manage multiple Azure DevOps organizations, repeat the setup for each one and name connections clearly to distinguish them.
