Real-Time Translation
In this article, you'll learn how to use real-time translation in the Inbox to support customers in any language without switching tools.
How translation works
The Inbox translates messages between your team's working language and the customer's language in real time. Your agents write in one language; the customer reads in their own.
Translation applies from the point it is enabled. Earlier messages in the thread are not retroactively translated.
Set the working language
Open the conversation.
Click the language flag in the conversation header.
Select the language your team will write in.
All messages sent after the language is set are translated automatically. A translation indicator in the header confirms that translation is active.
Detect Language
Click Detect language next to the language selector to let Enjo automatically identify the customer's language from their messages.
Use Detect Language when:
The conversation language is unclear from the messages.
You want Enjo to choose the best translation direction automatically.
Things to know
