AI Agent Channels
Connecting channels to your AI Agent is how you make it available to end users. Once connected, users can ask questions and raise requests directly in the channel, and the AI Agent responds using your configured knowledge and actions.
This guide walks through connecting an existing or new Slack channel to an AI Agent from within the Channels tab.
Before you begin
You must have Admin access in your Enjo workspace.
Your Slack workspace must already be connected to Enjo as an app integration. If you haven't done this yet, refer to the Slack integration guide before continuing.
Only one AI Agent can be configured per Slack channel.
Step 1: Open the AI Agent you want to connect
Click on the agent you want to deploy to Slack.
This opens the agent's configuration view.
Step 2: Go to the Channels tab
In the agent's left navigation, click Channels.
If channels have already been connected, they will appear on the channels tab.
Step 3: Open the Connect channels panel
Click Connect channels in the top-right corner.
A side panel opens prompting you to choose the app for the channel. The available options are:
MSFT Teams
Slack
Website
Step 4: Select Slack and choose a connection
Click Slack.
The panel will show a list of connected Slack accounts in your workspace. Select the account you want to use and click Next.
If you need to add a new Slack account, click + Add new and follow the authorisation flow.
Note: If Slack does not appear or no connected accounts are listed, your Slack integration may not be set up yet. Refer to the Slack integration guide to connect your Slack workspace first.
Step 5: Choose or create a Slack channel
After selecting the Slack account, choose how to connect the channel:
Existing Channel Select this tab to connect the AI Agent to a channel that already exists in your Slack workspace. Use the search field to find the channel by name.
Important: For private channels, Enjo must be invited to the channel before it will appear in the list. In Slack, type
/invite @enjoin the private channel first, then return here to select it.
New Channel Select this tab to create a new Slack channel directly from Enjo. Enter a channel name and check Make the channel private if you want to restrict access.
Note: Only one AI Agent can be configured for a channel. A channel already connected to another agent will not be available for selection.
Step 6: Confirm the connection
Once you've selected or named your channel, click Done.
Enjo will be added to the Slack channel and the AI Agent will be connected. You'll be returned to the Channels tab, where the new channel appears in the connected channels list.
Step 7: Verify in Slack
Open your Slack workspace and navigate to the connected channel. You should see a confirmation message from Enjo indicating the AI Agent has been successfully connected to the channel.
Users can now send messages in the channel and the AI Agent will respond based on its configured knowledge and actions.
Connecting a Microsoft Teams channel
Select the Microsoft Teams app
Select the Teams tenant from the dropdown
Choose whether this AI Agent will handle all DM conversations with the Enjo app
Select a team within that tenant
Select one or more channels in that team where Enjo will collect requests
Connecting a web chat channel
Select the Website app
Enter the website name and URL, then click Add Website
Copy the HTML script from the Install tab and paste it into your website
