Installation overview
Setting up Agent Assist for Jira involves four steps:
Connect Jira to your Enjo workspace
Add the Agent Assist widget in Enjo
Map an AI Agent to Jira Agent Assist
Install the Agent Assist app in Jira from the Atlassian Marketplace
π‘ Agent Assist requires an active Jira connection before you can add the widget. Make sure Jira shows as connected under Settings > Apps before continuing.
Step 2 β Add the Agent Assist widget
Go to Global Settings > Agent Assist.
Click Add Widget.
Select Jira as the widget type.
Select your configured Jira domain from the dropdown.
Click Next.
Click Add to complete the widget setup.
Your Jira Agent Assist widget now appears in the Agent Assist dashboard table.
Step 3 β Map an AI Agent
In the Agent Assist dashboard, find your Jira widget and click 3 dots Β·Β·Β·.
Select View Details.
Go to Agent Mapping.
Click Add Mapping.
Select the AI Agent to assign.
Choose whether this mapping applies to:
All cases β the AI Agent handles all Jira work items
Specific cases β filtered by fields such as Ticket ID, Project ID, priority, or status
Click Submit.
π‘ You can create multiple mappings to route different types of Jira issues to different AI Agents. See Configure Agent Assist for the full configuration guide.
Step 4 β Install Agent Assist in Jira
Open your Jira instance.
Go to Apps > Explore more apps to open the Atlassian Marketplace.
Search for Agent Assist in the Marketplace search bar.
Locate Enjo Agent Assist in the search results and open its details page.
Click Try it for free.
If you have multiple Jira sites, select the appropriate site from the dropdown.
Click Review and install.
Click Start free trial to begin installation.
Once installation is complete, refresh your Jira page.
Step 5 β Verify the installation
Go to a Jira board where you want to use Agent Assist.
Open any issue on that board.
Confirm the Agent Assist panel is visible in the issue view.
The panel may take a few moments to load on first use. If it does not appear:
Refresh the page
Update the theme in your workspace settings if prompted
Check that the Jira connection is active under Settings > Apps
When Agent Assist is working correctly you will see:
A generated case summary
An AI-generated answer
Knowledge block generation
π‘ If the Agent Assist panel does not appear after refreshing, verify that the Jira connection is active in Settings > Apps and that an AI Agent is mapped in Step 3.
